U.S. Election Assistance Commission Holds 2026 Annual Board Meetings in Chicago and DC

On April 28 and 29, the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) held its 2026 annual meeting for the Board of Advisors in its Washington, DC, hearing room. This meeting comes two weeks after the agency gathered about 150 state and local election officials in Chicago, Illinois, for the Local Leadership Council (LLC) and the Standards Board annual meetings.

Short Description of Changes

The minor change adds a ferrite split/snap-on core to the Voter Session Light cable in the ExpressVote XL to mitigate an Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) test finding from the EVS-6.4.0.0 test campaign; this change does not affect the system's functionality, performance, accessibility, usability, safety, security, or certified configuration.
