EAC OIG Commencing Audits of $380 Million Election Security Grant Funds

On Friday, Nov. 1, the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) released its Fiscal Year 2020 OIG Audit Work PlanDownload PDF(opens in new tab). The plan includes audits of six states’ election security grant funds, which were part of the $380 million grant funding(opens in new tab) Congress appropriated in 2018.

Military & Overseas Online Voter Registration

Military and Overseas Citizens - Under the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA), eligible active duty service members and their family members who are absent from their voting jurisdiction, as well as eligible citizens residing outside the U.S., may register and vote with their state of voting residence. Support for these voters is provided by the Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP) and designated election officials in each state.
