Voter registration is integral to the election administration process. Registering to vote, verifying voter eligibility and maintaining the accuracy of the voter registration list are several significant components of the complex voter registration process.

As election officials prepare for the 2020 general elections, the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) will host its 2019 Election Data Summit on Thursday, June 27, 2019. This event brings together elections experts to explore how data can be used to improve processes and decision-making throughout the election administration process.

Today, I am pleased to announce the panelists joining the discussion on voter registration:

  • Rebecca Gambler, Director, Homeland Security and Justice Team, U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO)
  • David Kuennen, Senior Research Program Specialist, EAC
  • Mandy Vigil, Elections Director, New Mexico

These panelists bring unique perspectives about data uses to improve voter registration processes.

The 2019 Election Data Summit is free and open to the public and to media. We hope you will join us for this important event. RSVPs are required and space is limited. Additional information regarding speakers is forthcoming.
