The EAC manages and distributes federal grants under HAVA to states and local jurisdictions. These grants are used to improve election infrastructure, update voting equipment, enhance cybersecurity, ensure accessibility, and support voter education initiatives. The EAC thoroughly audits HAVA grants to ensure they are used appropriately and effectively to strengthen the election system.
