What is this toolkit for?
Election officials know that social media is an effective way to reach voters, but many don't have time to design new content throughout the year. The Social Media Toolkit provides editable social media templates that election officials can customize and share with their communities. With more than 150 templates across 17 different categories, election officials can find content about key dates and deadlines, voting options, and even election results. To make planning easier, the toolkit also includes a sample editorial calendar.

What do the templates include?
Each template includes an editable graphic, sample text, and alt text to provide accessible descriptions. Graphics are editable in Canva, a free online graphic design tool, and are available in multiple versions to accommodate different social media platforms.
In addition to the templates in this toolkit, election officials will also find:
- Tips for editing images
- A hashtag guide to help amplify posts
- Best practices for community management and social media etiquette
