2025 - Winner for Exemplary Services to Assist Military and Overseas Voters

Prince William Countys UOCAVA program uses a dedicated database to track FPCA expirations and proactively communicate with military and overseas voters. The system identifies expiring or expired applications and sends targeted emails with situation-specific forms to renew, update status, or cancel. After processing, voters receive individualized email confirmations with key details such as status and expiration date. This approach replaces manual tracking with automated outreach, reducing errors, workload, and voter confusion. By providing timely reminders and faster confirmation through email, the program improves ballot access, strengthens reliability, and delivers clear, consistent customer service to a dedicated UOCAVA population. In addition, over the last two years, the office has received numerous emails from military or overseas voters, specifically thanking them for this extremely helpful service.
