Program Summary
The Santa Fe County Clerks Office launched Ranked Choice Ready ahead of the regular local election to help voters learn about ranked choice voting. The initiative featured age-appropriate activities through KidsVote and Democracy101 programs, offering mock elections and hands-on practice. During early voting, children practiced casting ranked-choice ballots on real voting equipment while their parents voted. The office also launched a web page with plain-language FAQs and partnered with Democracy Rising to create bilingual videos in English and Spanish. An online tool allowed residents to practice voting and view live tabulation rounds. After the election, similar visuals were used to help explain official results.
