MICRC Public Comment Portal
The Michigan Department of State (MDOS) created a public comment portal for the Michigan Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission. The new platform allowed members of the public to easily submit written public comments for the Commission to review. This transparent portal created a categorized, searchable repository of public comments, accessible by both members of the public and by redistricting commissioners. The innovative tool generated public trust in the process and allowed every Michigander the opportunity to have their voice heard in this historic redistricting cycle.
