Voting System Testing Update

The “Voting System Testing Update” blog is an effort to keep everyone informed of the progress systems in the EAC’s Testing and Certification Program are making each week.  We hope that this adds additional transparency to our process and allows stakeholders to get a weekly update about test campaigns that impact their jurisdiction.

Voting Systems Under Test:

Dominion Democracy Suite 5.0-A. EAC certified the Dominion Voting Systems Democracy Suite 5.0A system on August 14, 2017.  If you would like to view documents related to this test campaign, please visit our website

Dominion Democracy Suite DVS 5.5.  EAC approved the application for the testing of this system on July 5, 2017. Ryan Macias will be the project manager on this test campaign.

ES&S EVS 6.0.0.0.  On June 5, 2017, the EAC approved the application for the ES&S EVS 6.0.0.0 voting system. This is a new voting system and will be tested to the 2005 VVSG 1.0.  If you would like to view documents related to this test campaign, please visit our website. ES&S EVS 6.2.0.0. The initial Test Plan for this system was submitted by SLI on July 25, 2017.  EAC is currently reviewing the Test Plan and will have comments back to SLI by August 21st. If you would like to view documents related to this test campaign, please visit our website. Microvote EMS 4.2. EAC expects to approve the MicroVote 4.2 Test Plan on or before August 18, 2017. Testing is continuing at this time. If you would like to view documents related to this test campaign, please visit our website. Brian Hancock is the project manager on this test campaign.

EAC also received a registration application from a new voting system manufacturer on July 5, 2017. Once the manufacturer has submitted all required information, the EAC will approve the application and post the company name on our registered manufacturers’ page.
