Voting System Testing Update

The “Voting System Testing Update” blog is an effort to keep everyone informed of the progress systems in the EAC’s Testing and Certification Program are making each week.  We hope that this adds additional transparency to our process and allows stakeholders to get a weekly update about test campaigns that impact their jurisdiction.

Voting Systems Under Test:  

ClearBallot Group ClearVote 1.4.  EAC received Rev. D of the Test Plan on July 7, 2017. EAC is completing review and expects the Test Plan approval to occur this week. Dominion Democracy Suite 5.0-A. EAC approved Rev. D of the Test Plan on May 25th.  EAC is currently awaiting delivery of the Test report from the laboratory. Dominion Democracy Suite DVS 5.5.  EAC approved the application for the testing of this system on July 5, 2017. Ryan Macias will be the project manager on this test campaign.

ES&S EVS 6.0.0.0.  On June 5, 2017, the EAC approved the application for the ES&S EVS 6.0.0.0 voting system. This is a new voting system and will be tested to the 2005 VVSG 1.0.  If you would like to view documents related to this test campaign, please visit our website. ES&S EVS 6.2.0.0. On June 12, 2017, the EAC approved the application for the ES&S EVS 6.2.0.0 voting system. Microvote EMS 4.2. EAC received responses to the comments submitted on the MicroVote 4.2 Test Plan on June 22, 2017. Testing is ongoing at this time. Unisyn OpenElect 2.0. EAC reviewed and approved the answers to questions submitted on the root cause analysis for the discrepancy found during testing. Testing continues at this time.
