Greene Chosen to Lead EAC Research
Jun 21, 2017
The Election Assistance Commission (EAC) is thrilled to announce the promotion of Sean Greene, who is now the commission's Director of Research. Sean joined our team last year as a Sr. Program Management Specialist in the Research Division. In that role, he has leading a number of important projects, including the 2016 Election Administration and Voting Survey (EAVS) and the 2017 Language Summit. He has also contributed to the EAC’s tech time video series and developed an EAVS Process webinar.
Sean previously worked at the Pew Charitable Trusts in Washington, DC. During his 11-year tenure there, he served as a researcher, research manager and project director of Election Initiatives. He also gained experience managing both administrative and professional staff. Prior to working for Pew, Sean was a research associate for four years at the Committee for the Study of the American Electorate.
This vast experience in research and elections made him a natural choice for the commission's vacant Director of Research position, which leads our HAVA-related research functions. Sean will also direct various research contracts and studies undertaken by EAC and be charged with creating new studies and products.
The EAC deeply values all of its employees and is so pleased to watch them grow within the commission. Our staff plays a key role in helping us find innovative solutions to election challenges and identifying ways to better serve voters and the state and local election administrators who run elections.
