Cindy Hoffman has 25 years of experience in advocacy communications, strategic planning and campaigns. She launched her career at the Maryland affiliate of the National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League, where she helped lead the effort to pass pro-choice legislation in the state and then defended it in a successful statewide referendum campaign, winning with 64% of the vote. Later, she was a public affairs specialist at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, where she lead successful communications efforts on such high profile issues as the recovery of the bald eagle and peregrine falcon and the centennial celebration for the National Wildlife Refuge System. She continued her environmental focus as Vice President of Communications at Defenders of Wildlife, where she lead communications efforts on high profile endangered species issues. She successfully managed proactive issue campaigns, which included message development, advertising, social media, and grassroots advocacy. Prior to joining EAC, she was Vice President of Marketing and Communications for YWCA USA. She has been a poll worker in Montgomery County, MD for the past two elections.
