  • It’s Never Too Soon for Overseas and Military Voters to Plan for the Next Federal Election

    Nov 10, 2017
While it seems there’s plenty of time to think about registering to vote or figuring out your polling place location, not every American has that luxury. Our country’s active duty service members, their families, and Americans living overseas are charged with taking on significantly more responsibility, and planning much further ahead, than the average voter if they want to cast a ballot on Election Day.

I was honored to give a talk to the students in the Election Law Society at the William & Mary Law School. In other words, I was invited to speak with baby lawyers in the making (no disrespect intended, students!). • Whistle While You Work – March is List Maintenance Month

    Mar 07, 2017
Spring cleaning is a bit of an art and a science – and so is list maintenance. The EAC is here to help with tools and best practices. March is our GamePlan17 "List Maintenance" month. Check out our website for information and call us if you need help.

The Commissioners have continued on our listening tour and we have received many opinions regarding what the next steps and priorities ought to be for the newly reconstituted EAC. Here is a list of some of the comments and suggestions we’ve received so far. I am enthusiastic about where we are going and am grateful to all who have contributed to this ongoing discussion. Our U.S. election community rocks!
  • WE ARE LISTENING says Chairwoman McCormick

    Mar 29, 2015
The Commissioners have had a very busy couple of weeks hosting and visiting important members of the election community and listening to ideas, priorities and the appropriate role of the EAC now that it is reconstituted. At our recent Next Steps roundtable, we solicited opinions from a range of stakeholders: local and state election administrators, officials, legislative representatives, vendors, technology advisors, the accessibility community, advocacy and interest groups, and commissioners...
