A strategic communications professional with a strong background in earned media, marketing and digital strategy, Natalie Longwell serves as a Public Affairs Specialist at the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC).
Prior to joining the EAC, Natalie managed a diverse client portfolio of progressive national nonprofits and cultural arts institutions at a strategic communications firm. Among the marketing and earned media strategies she designed and executed during her time there were a 50-state campaign which lead to the reauthorization of the Land and Water Conservation Fund, preparation and day-of press logistics ahead of historic events at Washington National Cathedral, and groundbreaking reports on business and human rights that redefined conversations on monitoring and remediation in the garment, tech and construction industries.
Previously, Natalie served on Amnesty International USA’s in-house communications team. While at Amnesty, her media pitches resulted in major placements, and she solidified her expertise in press advance work, large-scale event planning, managing social media channels, connecting the organization’s experts with broadcast opportunities and collaborating with high-level officials and celebrity media teams.
