Weekly Election Update 3.10.14

We will post an Election update blog every Monday in an effort to summarize the elections and election deadlines each week until all primaries, special elections, and general elections scheduled for 2014 are finished. If you have additional information, requests, or corrections, please submit a comment below, via Twitter @EACgov or email Jessica Myers at jmyers@eac.gov.
Elections this week:
·         Georgia. A Special Election will be held on March 18th. Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. More information is available here.
·         Idaho. Election Day is March 11th. Polls are open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. More information is available here.
·         Illinois. Primary Election Day is March 18th. Polls are open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. More information is available here.
·         Louisiana. The Municipal/Parochial General Election is on March 15th (Orleans only). Polls are open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. More information is available here.
Other Highlights:
·         California – The voter registration deadline for the March 25th Special Election is March 10th. Absentee ballot requests must be received by March 18th.
·         GeorgiaEarly voting begins February 24th and is available through March 15th.
·         IllinoisEarly voting for the March 18th General election begins March 3rd and is available through March 15th.
·         KansasAdvance voting for the April 1st General election begins March 11th and is available through March 31st.  The voter registration deadline for the General election is on March 11th.
·         Louisiana – The deadline to request an absentee ballot for the March 15th General election (Orleans only) is March 11th; the Registrar must receive this ballot by March 14th.
·         Missouri – The voter registration deadline for the April 8th General Municipal Election is March 12th.
·         WisconsinEarly voting for the April 1st election begins March 17th and is available through March 28th. The by mail voter registration deadline is March 12th; all applications must be postmarked by this date.
