Ashley Williams leads the Finance Division at the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC). She initially joined EAC's Staff Associate program in January 2017 and as a staff associate rotating to different program areas in the agency to help create new products or processes to improve that specific area. She completed a rotation in the Financial Department before being promoted to Financial Manager when the Chief Financial Officer retired in 2018.
Before working at the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, Ashley interned at the U.S Forest Service, where she worked on the President Obama’s Every Kid in a Park Initiative. It provided all fourth grade students and their families’ free admission to the National Parks and other federals and waters for a full year.
Ashley received her BA in Sociology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland. After completing her bachelor's degree, she received her MA in Public Management from Johns Hopkins University. Also, she received her MA of Public Policy from American University.
