Public Hearing Testimony on Proposed Changes to NVRA Regulations

EAC will conduct an August 18 public hearing in Orlando, Florida to receive testimony on proposed changes to NVRA regulations.

Instructions

All requests to testify at the public hearing must include a description of what will be said, contact information which will be used to notify the requestor of the status of his/her request (phone number on which a message may be left or e-mail), and include the subject/attention line (or on the envelope if by mail): "Testimony on proposed NVRA regulations". Ten participants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. However, to maximize diversity of input, only one participant per organization or entity will be chosen. Each participant will be allotted three-minutes each to share their viewpoint. For more details, see the Sunshine Notice.

 
Verbal Hearing Testimony

If you wish to speak at the hearing:

  • The deadline for requests via email has passed.

  • Speakers may sign up in person before the public hearing begins.

 
Written Hearing Testimony

Participants and members of the public may also submit written testimony regarding proposed NVRA regulations. Please note that this testimony will be included as part of the written record of the hearing, and available on EAC's website. Written hearing testimony must be submitted before the end of the public hearing, and received by 4:30 pm EDT on Aug 18, 2010. Written testimony should be submitted via e-mail at testimony@eac.gov, via mail addressed to the U.S. Election Assistance Commission 1201 New York Avenue NW, Suite 300, Washington, DC 20005. All correspondence that contains written testimony must have in the subject/attention line (or on the envelope if by mail): "Written testimony on proposed NVRA regulations".
