I endorse the comments submitted by the Ad Hoc VVSG Committee. In particular, threat trees unrelated to voting system technology, while interesting and informative, are outside the scope of this project, which is intended to aid the EAC in the development of voting system standards. I also agree that the threat tree for internet voting lacks the level of detail and complexity of the others. The instructions are challenging but logically written. Readers might have an easier time if the instructions started with an example graphic threat tree, followed by an explanation of the significance of each node type, rather than the other way around. lfinley 02/19/2010 01:47 PM
