Weekly Election Update 4.23.12

Elections this week:

April 24, 2012

• Connecticut, Presidential Preference Election and Primary. Connecticut’s PPE and Primary is open to all registered voters. For more Election Day information, visit the Secretary of State’s website.
• Delaware, Presidential Preference Election. Delaware’s Republican PPE is open to all registered Republican voters. Please visit the Secretary of State’s website for more information.
• New York, Republican Presidential  Preference Primary. New York's Republican PPE is open to all registered Republican voters. For more information, visit the New York State Board of Elections website.
• Pennsylvania, Primary. Pennsylvania’s Primary is open to all registered voters. For more information, visit the Pennsylvania Secretary of State’s website.
• Rhode Island, Primary. Rhode Island’s Primary is open to all registered voters. For more information, visit the Rhode Island Secretary of State’s website or follow them on Twitter @RI_BOE.

State

• Arkansas – April 23, 2012 is the voter registration deadline for the May 22, 2012 Primary Election.
• Delaware – April 23, 2012 is the absentee ballot request deadline for the April 24, 2012 Primary Election.
• Kentucky – April 23, 2012 is the voter registration deadline for the May 22, 2012 Primary Election.
• Nebraska – April 27, 2012 is the mail in voter registration deadline for the May 15, 2012 Primary Election. Early voting began April 9 and ends on May 14 (in person) or Mary 15 (mail in ballot).
• North Carolina – The Early Voting period for the May 8, 2012 Primary Election is from April 19th through May 5th.
• Oregon – April 24, 2012 is the voter registration deadline for the May 15, 2012 Primary Election.
• Texas – April 30, 2012 is the voter registration deadline for the May 29, 2012 Primary Election.
• Virginia – April 24, 2012 is the voter registration deadline for the May 1, 2012 City and Town General Election.
• West Virginia – April 17, 2012 is the voter registration deadline for the May 8, 2012 Primary Election.

County

• Kansas City, Missouri – Get information about being a pollworker for the 2012 Election cycle here.
• Marion County, Indiana – Get information about new precinct and district boundaries before the May 8, 2012 election here.
• Sarasota County, Florida – Get information about being a pollworker for the August 14, 2012 Primary Election here.
• Wake County, North Carolina – The Election Office has made a new video about Voter Registration and is recruiting pollworkers for the 2012 Election cycle.
