Voting System Testing Update
The “Voting System Testing Update” blog is an effort to keep everyone informed of the progress systems in the EAC’s Testing and Certification Program are making each week. We hope that this adds additional transparency to our process and allows stakeholders to get a weekly update about test campaigns that impact their jurisdiction.
Voting Systems under Test:
· Dominion Democracy Suite 4.14. Wyle and Dominion began functional testing last week. Dominion decided to conduct additional testing and development on the DRS central count scanner. They will remove the DRS central count scanner from this campaign and will submit a letter to the EAC noting this change in scope. If you would like to view documents related to this test campaign, please visit our website. Jessica Myers is the project manager on this test campaign.
· Election Systems & Software (ES&S) EVS 18.104.22.168. Wyle Laboratories provided a draft Test Report to EAC on March 26, 2013. EAC will provide comments or approval of the Test Report by April 22, 2013. For documents related to this test campaign, please visit our website. Brian Hancock is the project manager on this test campaign.
· Hart InterCivic.Hart is working with SLI Global Solutions to prepare for this test campaign. EAC is working with Hart to clarify security requirements for the system. We are scheduling the in person kick off meeting for the week of June 10, 2013. More information will be available on our website after the manufacturer and VSTL are ready to begin Test Plan development and testing. Jessica Myers is the project manager on this test campaign.
If you would like more information about the certification process, please read Chapter 4 and 5 of the Testing and Certification Program Manual. If you have additional questions or would like additional information about a particular voting system, please email Jessica Myers at email@example.com.
