EAC Election Calendar
Every Monday the EAC posts an Election Update blog about upcoming elections and election deadlines. The information for these blogs comes from Secretary of State Websites, Twitter and discussions with election officials. One of the resources the EAC created to keep track of all of this information is an Election calendar. This calendar tracks election dates, absentee ballot deadlines, voter registration deadlines and early voting times. EAC is delighted to share it with you today!
This key will help you understand the abbreviations in the calendar:
- Elections are red
- P = Primary
- PPE=Presidential Preference Election
- S=Special Election
- SP=Special Primary Election
- SG=Special General Election
- Absentee Ballot deadlines are purple
- ABS=Absentee Ballot Request deadline
- Early voting/in person absentee voting periods are orange
- EV=Early Voting/In Person Absentee voting period
- Voter registration deadlines are green
- VR=Voter Registration deadline
- State abbreviations are used for each entry (e.g., DC = Washington, D.C.)
Information about election deadlines for January 2012 and February 2012 are not included in this version of the calendar.
If you have additional questions about a deadline, please contact your Secretary of State or local election office.
