Use the National Mail Voter Registration Form to register to vote, update your registration information with a new name or address, or register with a political party.
Note: If you wish to vote absentee and are a uniformed service member or family member or a citizen living outside the U.S., contact the Federal Voting Assistance Program to register to vote.
EAC Plain Language Initiative
The U.S. Election Assistance Commission is committed to providing the public information and documents written in clear, plain language. We view the use of plain language as essential to achieve our goals of transparency and excellent customer service.
Our Commitment
The Plain Writing Act of 2010 requires federal agencies to use "clear government communication that the public can understand and use." EAC is committed to writing and communicating in plain language using the Federal Plain Language Guidelines. We are currently reviewing our documents and website to make sure that clear, precise language is used. Sometimes it is necessary to use complex information to explain technical topics, such as the voting system testing and certification process, but using plain language whenever possible will make these topics accessible and understood.

We need your feedback to determine if we are meeting the goal of writing in plain language. Let us know if you have trouble understanding our documents or language on the website. Also, please contact us if we haven't written a document in plain language.
