Statement of EAC Chair Rosemary E Rodriguez on the Nomination of Caroline Hunter to the Federal Election Commission

It has been my privilege to serve with Vice-Chair Caroline Hunter for the past year on the United States Election Assistance Commission (EAC). We started on the same day but our similarities end there. Indeed, our political philosophies could not differ more. Yet even in disagreement, we always maintained a respectful, friendly relationship.

The Federal Election Commission will be well served by her hard-charged willingness to do the necessary work to plumb through the backlog that has undoubtedly piled up in the months without a quorum.

On behalf of the EAC, I wish Commissioner Hunter the best of luck as she enters a new chapter in her career.
